AFTER SCHOOL ADVENTURES (ASA) is a program sponsored by the RIVERFIELD PTA (ASA is a courtesy of the PTA - it is not a fundraiser). We offer various after school activities at reasonable prices for different age groups. Most of the programs take place on-site at Riverfield once a week for 3-8 weeks (depending on the program).
Our Winter session begins in January and ends in March. Classes will be filled on a first come, first server basis. There will be NO refunds for missed classes or ending the program early (unless due to illness, etc). The instructors are paid PER child, so please notify us ASAP, if such a circumstance arises.
All classes will schedule a make-up class at the end of the session, if needed, due to a snow day. Please note that all classes will now begin at 3:40 to allow walkers and bussers a chance to leave and ASA classes to begin on time. The new pick-up time is at 4:40, except for Taekwondo, which will end at 4:30.
We will notify you by email to let you know in which program(s) your child will participate.
***Please PRINT out and COMPLETE a registration / student waiver form for each student.*** A separate check MUST be written for EACH program (even if one child participates in more than one).
ASA POLICIES:
1. There must be a parent representative at each session for ALL activities. An adult must be at the class for the entire time. Please indicate your availability on the registration form. If you have NOT done so, we will appoint you to a date. If you cannot make that date, it will be YOUR responsibility to swap with someone. During your turn, you will be asked to sign out each child at dismissal as well as assist the instructor as needed. The ASA committee will provide a list of the students for each class.
2. For those children who are carpooling at dismissal time for OFF-SITE activities, a note must be sent EACH WEEK to teachers indicating who is picking up the child. Without a note, the child will NOT be able to attend that day and will be sent home.
3. Children attending ON-SITE activities must stay in their classrooms until all walkers and bussed children are dismissed. At this time activities will be announced. These children must also bring a note to their teachers EACH WEEK indicating they will be attending ASA.
4. ALL FORMS and PAYMENTS are due back to the MAIN OFFICE.
You may also drop off registrations in the mailbox during the Winter break C/O Felicia Hand – 234 North Pine Creek Road. December 30th will be the last day to accept registrations since class lists will be sent out that weekend.
