Welcome Back!!!
Welcome to the first edition of our 2010-2011 Roadrunner Xpress. This newsletter will be issued monthly to keep you informed about all the happenings at Riverfield School. Please continually check the calendar as new dates and events are constantly being added. Also, the Communication Link (see below) is one of your most valuable tools. This link will also appear in our weekly “Sneak Peek at the Week” emails. You should check this link every week to keep up-to-date on events in school and our community. Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

COMMUNICATIONS & FLYERS
This essential link (also found in upcoming weekly Sneak Peeks) is your primary source for all flyers being distributed by the PTA. Please download pertinent flyers, fill them out, attach payment (if needed) and return them to school.

By an overwhelming demand, Riverfield PTA is incorporating fitness into fundraising! Don't miss out on the fun. Run times start at 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00 so plan for stopping by for an hour or so between your soccer, football and baseball games, run with your friends and have some lunch! Registration forms are due by September 20th and extra forms are available in the main office. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact Maureen Sawyer at ssawyer1@optonline.net.
River-Lab – General Information
To All 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade Parents,
Your child's science unit this year will be River-Lab, a hands-on, award-winning, environmental education program. It makes up one-third of the Fairfield school system's science curriculum and meets CMT requirements. The concepts presented in the classroom are brought to life for the students during Study-Trips to Mill River. Each study-trip is led by trained parent volunteers guiding a small group of children! And the kids really ENJOY it...
